Impressions from Barcelona

Also das beste Essen-to-go hatten wir im "Wok to Walk". Egal wann man hingeht.

It´s Monday, puh! But hey hey, Thursday is a official holiday and so we all have a short week :-) Today I want to share with you some pictures from Instagram and some, which I haven´t already shown. So you have the chance to see all pictures, although if you have instagram or not!:-) The Barcelona-Trip is not so long way back but the next trip is waiting for us.. We had the best food to take-away at the "Wok to Walk", directly next door to the "Merquat de la Boqueria", my favourite place in Barcelona. Have you noticed the huge macaron on the pictures on the bottom of the blogpost? :-) I have found this -treasure of a store-somewhere in Barcelona, it´s called Chök "The chocolate kitchen" !
I hope you can find some inspirations for your next short trip :-)

Neural Nuances

Guten Morgen liebe Leser!

Good morning my readers! For this outfit I´m wearing from top to bottom skadinavian labels. My heart skipped a beat when I saw this amazing cupro dress from NÖR Denmark.  I’m a huge fan of maxi dresses and I love the most these ones which have a high slit on the side. I love those pieces that you can style weither chic or layed back with a touch of hippie. I decided to go a little chic with a grey suede Blazer from NÖR Denmark and the matching grey suede peeptope ankleboots from billi bi Copenhagen. The jewelry is from GULDVIVA and really puristic, but perfect for this kind of chic outfit. What do you think about this outfit?

OOTD: White Denim Overall

Today I want to share a look with you, which is very basic but still eyecatching and special. I really love the white denim overall! I think it’s such a great basic piece for everyday, easy to dress up and acually I don´t need a bag because the overall have so many small pockets :-)
I combined the trend-piece with my new straw hat from Loevenich and my Espadrilles from Guess. I paired it with a backless stripes body from American Vintage to make the look more feminine. I love this super casual mix of denim and basics- such a great day-to-day look :-) And it´s true that white denim is really sensitive to any kind of dirt.  I put together my favorite denim overalls below the article.
How do you like my look?

Melina for Zalando: DIY flower crown

Also los gehts:

I´m super excited to show you my collaboration with Zalando, my favorite online shop. Zalando is a german online shop which is my go-to for every occassion as you can always find so many different labels with such a huge choice there. Choose at Zalando from cut-off denim shorts paired with bright or neon wellies, or one of the super-cool maxi dresses matched with stylish Epadrilles, for your ultimate festival fashion. You can find a festival-guide for 2015 here. And what better way to kickoff the excitement of festival season than styling an ethereal shoot complete with flower crowns? This was my first attempt at diy-ing floral head attire, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they really are quite easy to make. Today I´m showing you- step by step- how to create your own boho floral crown like the one I´ve worn at the Holi festival :-)

Step 1: Wrap the thick floral wire around your head to make a large circle for the wreath base. Make it really loose, when you start to add the flowers it will tighten up. Create a loop at the back end, leaving it loose so that you can take it in or out when you are finished adding the flowers.
Cut off the bottom stem of the flowers.
Step 2: Starting at the side, wrap the flower stems around your wire wreath circle. Work your way towards the front center. If you are using faux flowers, twist the wire inside of the flower stems around the wreath circle. Secure the flowers with the thin floral wire when needed. Make sure all of the wire ends face outwards and not in towards the center. You do not want these against your head when wearing the crown.
Step 3: Continue to add flowers, working your way from both back sides towards the center front. Add as many flowers to make as full or as simple as desired.
Step 4: But you’re not done yet, you’ll want to cover up those icky back wires for a clean finish. Start by wrapping bast fiber wire around the stems so that they are nice and tight with nothing poking out.

Wrap floral tape over the wire to create a nice smooth finish. You can leave as is or add lengths of bast fiber over the tape so they'll flow down the back.
You´re done :-) Do you like your own creation? Let me know! You can find many more DIY-projects here. Happy Sunday!

Barcelona Outfit: Fringed Love

It is this time between spring and the beginning of summer, where you can feel that summer is coming. Walking through a new city with many new impressions just simply in a shirt and shorts and feeling the sun on your skin is the best thing I can imagine. That beautiful transition time feels like coming back to life after a long winter sleep.  I’m a huge fan of fringed and suede leather, as you maybe know. I can’t get enough of them. I love this trend because it is very minimalistic and you don’t need a lot of accessories to make the look complete. This outfit was absolutely perfect for this kind of feeling. It’s simple, casual and cozy. The leather shorts and the matching fringed shirt have a very original design and the style is so bohemian.. I have found this cute fringed suede bag in a small boutique in Barcelona and have to buy it :-) Well, I don´t regret it.
