Beyond the sea

Was soll ich sagen?

To be honest, I wouldn’t have thought that I would climb this old ship only to take some cool pictures. But well, things never turn out as you expect:-) So here I am, finding myself scrolling though these cool pictures Andi take from me. What can I say? I just love them. The ship and my clothes couldn´t match better together. I love this clean and sleek look and tried to style this outfit very minimalistic and cool. I paired my Outfit with some gold rings and flash tattoos ( I haven´t the stomach for a real tatoo and my mom said no :-). Hence, I decided to wear khaki lace shorts, my knitted Sweater from Willi Alt 1929, gladiator sandals and a straw hat. I have been completely obsessed with the lace up flat trend and I finally got a pair from Ancient Greek Sandals. I love these ones! They are comfortable and easy to dress down like I did today, or dressed up with a flirty dress (maybe in my next blgpost?!). How do you like my outfit and -especially- the location?

Walk around in Split, Croatia

In this Look I decided to go for some casual vibes. Since it’s really hot outside, an airy and easy combination is needed, right? I combined the Tunic from Michael Kors,  Swarovski-Sandals from Lola Cruz and my backpack from Stella McCartney.  I think the black and grey shades look perfect together and complete this whole boho-thing. We sniped the pictures in Split old town, walking around the adorable little streets, looking for a nice spot we felt comfortable with. We kept stopping every few minutes, thinking "This is the spot!” then we would walk a little bit and say the same thing again! So basically, almost every corner of Split is photogenic and picture worthy.

Travel with Moroccanoil

We´re back home from a walk through the city in Split and I´ve worn this cool dress from Mango. I love this model because of it’s shape. I combined the spriped dress with my galdiator sandals from Ancient Greek Sandals and my Falabella Flapbag from Stella McCartney. But let´s talk about my hair. Mostly I´m straigthen my hair. Since I dye my hair and want to let it grow, it need much more moisture. These two facts are opposed to each other, I know :-D So I try to preserve my hair from more damage. I am using Moroccanoil since about five weeks and I´m really happy with the result. The consistency is quite thick, so a small amount is enough for my thick hair. Usually my hair gets really dry and doesn´t get oily and so this products from Moroccanoil really moisturises and locks in the hydration. My hair feels so soft and healthy now. The smell is a mixture of oriental summer feeling and valuable perfume. This products is so worth the money. I love it!

all black everything

Gute Nacht euch allen!

Now I'm on my way home and I wanted to take advantage of the half hour road to update my blog and share with you an cool look I wore last week.
Black is always the one color I feel most comfortable in, especially in a total look.
The maxidress-espadrilles-combo with my Espadrilles from Mango is one of my new everyday uniforms: It's just become my favourite outfit in such a short time! I have maxidresses and Espadrilles in several colors, but black is the color I prefer.
I think an outfit in all black even can look very elegant and understated at the same time. I felt really comfortable yet stylish enough to wear the look for various occasions – while shopping in the city or going to work. Although summer is already here, I'm really into all-black clothing at the moment :-)
Honestly I'm super sleepy cause I didn't get much sleep these days, so probably I'll hit the sack when I come home…Good night!

Summer Skincare

The week may have just started, but saturday can’t come quick enough for us, because we´re flying to croatia. I´ve missed croatia so much that I can´t hold on myself how much I´m happy to going back. I´m speaking croatian so I can say: it´s an home game :-)

When I´m in croatia, I love to spend the days outside – it cheers me up, my skin looks healthy and glowing and I can feel that the sun is giving me that vital Vitamin D that many of us are so deficient in the winter days. I really like to sunbathe,  but I always take great care when I’m going into the sun. I can’t believe that people still don’t use sunprotection and frying themselves into pink lobsters! And that in this day and age, when great sun protection is easily and cheaply available. When I´m travelling, there are some certain essentials that I simply need to feel complete. One of those things is sun protection from Piz Buin—applying it every morning has become such an innate part of my daily routine, I wouldn’t feel right if I´d left the house without it. It’s my daily must-have! I´m using the Tan & Protection Oil Spray from Piz Buin in factor 15. It contains a tan-accelerating ingredient called Melitane which speeds up the natural tanning process so that you need to spend less time in the sun to achieve a beautiful (and safe) golden glow.

I´m using the Instant glow sprays in factor 30 and 15 too. They are so easy to apply – the sunprotection spreads very easily, especially on warm skin, but there’s no greasy residue. There’s no slick finish, but there is quite a glamorous sheen left on the skin. The protected me well and I really think that they did give me a golden glow more quickly than a standard SPF lotion. I put some Aftersun Lotion on the skin to hydrate and moisturize it after being out in the sun :-) It´s brilliant for smoothing and calming sun exposed skin – it smells fresh and lovely too.

Melina for Zalando: DIY Patched Topshop-Jacket

Was dabei rauskam, finde ich ganz cool.

I've teamed up with Zalando to show you two perfect Festival-looks with this DIY Patches-jacket from Topshop! Since the festival season is coming up, I think a patched denim jacket is the perfect project to tackle.
All you need are some cool patches, an iron, a denim jacket and you'll have your own version! Seriously guys, get a denim jacket. It is my go-to all season :-)
My first Outfit is the black skirt from Willi Alt 1929, my patched denim jacket from Topshop, a cropped Pullover from Mango and my bag from Zara.
I love this swinging skirt from my moms label Willi Alt 1929 and have been waiting for the perfect time to wear it. Unfortunately my lack of patience got the best of me and I said screw it, I’m just going to wear it with my black denim jacket. Do you like it?
The second oufit is my favourite maxidress from Zara, paired with my new Espadrilles from Zara, my backpack from Stella McCartney and the patched denim-jacket from Topshop.
Which outfit do you like most?
Are you planning to visit a Festival this summer and you don´t have tickets? That´s your chance! You can win tickets for the Lollapalooza-Festival in Berlin.
