Pack your Weekend Bag

Also müsst ihr klug packen!

Travel luggage. It´s actually a huge topic because I´m travelling a lot and want to share my experience with you. I can travel up to a week with a canvas weekend bag like this from ESPEROS and don’t ever need a bigger suitcase. The older a canvas bag gets, the better it looks - like Converse Chucks. I´ve got a red, new pair and can´t wait when they are out of shape and a bit dirty to get "this" cool look.

Back to the bags. Just to name some benefits of a weekend bag: It´s much easier to carry a weekend bag up and down the staircases and I just don’t want to wait at the baggage claim for ages or even risk losing my luggage during one of my many flights. Or to risk they handle it wrong, because that happens often. ESPEROS, the brand of the bag I´m wearing, use clean lines and simple shapes to create a classic yet distinctive look. Each bag has thoughtfully planned pockets, attachments, and compartments to ensure that they are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional. The workers we´re fairly payed and they donate 10 % of their Profit to education initiatives around the world. I love caring brands and want to Support them as much as possible. That´s why you can get 10 % % off your purchase at ESPEROS with the code "MELINAALT10" to support their great work. The voucher is valid till 31.03.

My ultimative tips to pack your Weekend bag

It’s not that easy to plan your whole outfits for a trip but it´s just a matter of combining the right things so that you don’t need to pack some complete outfits with you. The first thing to think about is what you are going to wear during our travel! It is most important to wear all the most heavy items on your body so you won’t have to fit them into your suitcase. Also, take only one handbag with you on your journey – if it’s an amazing bag, why would you need another? Also, think about which shoes are your most comfortable ones – you are going to wear them 90% of your stay away from home because you won’t be able to pack another pair of comfy shoes!

When you have decided on what you are going to wear on board, the next step of course is to think about the other things you’ll wanna pack. 10 kg maximum! When packing your suitcase, it is convenient to first pack all the things we are always going to take on our travels: camera, laptop (iPad would be better, but not everyone owns one), card reader, cables, phone etc. – all the technical stuff a traveller always needs. After that, you’ll probably only have about 6 kg left, so most of the things we are going to pack are lightweigh items that make our outfits stand out. Make sure that all of the clothes you pack can be combined perfectly with each other – no exceptions! A striped shirt can be combined with jeans or shorts or a skirt, the skirt can be combined with a blouse, a pullover or a cute top for the dinner. You see, you only need very few items to create many amazing outfits – that’s the key to packing light!

Do you travel often? And what are your favorite bags for your trips?

Die Bilder sind echt toll geworden! *-* Barcelona ist meine absolute Traumstadt! Wie hat es euch gefallen?
